Summary: At the conclusion of the Spring ’26 semester, 17 bias reports were received, all determined to fall into the category of bias as defined by the College. Reports that are identified as potentially more serious violations of law or policy are directed to the relevant units, including Campus Safety, Title IX/Civil Rights Compliance, and Human Resources, and are excluded from this summary report. Following receipt of each bias report, each reporting party is contacted, directed to resources, and advised of the options for resolution under the Protocol. If the reporting party wishes to proceed, the Bias Education and Response Team (BERT) is convened, as all actions under the Protocol are carried out by teams rather than by a single officer.

Regarding the nature of alleged bias, the categories indicated in the chart are those identified by the reporting party. Following those identifiers, the majority of reports, ten (10), involved ethnicity in some manner, an increase in this category from previous semesters; followed by categories involving gender identity, three (3); religion, two (2); race and religion, two (2); race, one (1); and veteran status, one (1). Most incidents, thirteen (13), occurred in non-residential campus facilities, with four (4) taking place in residence halls. The majority of events, thirteen (13), impacted and implicated campus community members, with four (4) external or unknown individuals as the implicated parties.
